iPhone X Apple's Neuro Engine and WiFi

How does Apple use it's Neural Engine chip to facilitate connection to the most advantageous WiFi AP in the vicinity?

My guess it that the neural engine doesn't play any role in selected a wifi network. I don't know how it selects, but I'd think it preferences networks that it "knows" and have great signal strength. Personally, I keep "Ask to join networks" off is wifi settings. So if there are no known networks around, I choose.
