It seems that in the US the Mac has become much more popular in recent years, reaching as high as a 30% market share.

I found that surprising because sales in terms of the number of units globally have been hovering around 10% for many years. Is it just that the Mac has become more popular in the US and less so outside? What to make of these stats?
