I am running High Sierra on MBP 13" retina 2015.

I have opera and chrome installed, and also running discord sometimes.
In opera i have X and whatsapp, chatGTP and telegram apps installed.

Sometimes applications just drop connection, but the internet connection IS there, i just need to reboot the APP itself.

Sometimes one webbrowser is working, the other has no connections at all.

Happens few times i need to reboot the whole computer to get it back.

I have no idea at all what is causing this, and i just uninstalled tailscale to try to see if that was the problem. however that did not help.
I dont have any other apps related to networking installed.

Sometimes i think this appears when i plug a USB disk, external, but that might just be my head making some bad connections.

Anyone has seen this pronlem before and found solution?

Thanks!

After researching more around the USB disk, it notice it is the USB3 disk causing the problem.

Upon connecting it sometimes internet drops out, and after that happens, the webbrowsers will not connect back again.

So i made a PING command in terminal, to see what happens when i connect the USB3 disk.

Upon connecting, it takes a few seconds then the PING will rise.
After that, if i touch the aluminium chassie of the machine, it will increase alot more.

There is other users on the web that reports same problem with USB discs, and that can be solved by simply pulling out the USB3 connector a few mm in the jack.

Problem is maybe caused by some kind of grounding problem in the MacBook design that is not compatible with USB3.
This explanation is underlined with the fact that putting the hands on the aluminium amplifies the problem with a factor around 10X on the ping respons.

When removing hands and ejecting USB disk to remove the USB plug from Macbook, the problem goes away. However, one still has to reboot the webbrowser to regain functionality.
