So I downloaded a few of the iPad + iPhone apps on my iPad. When I synced those apps back to my Mac followed by an iPhone sync to my Mac all of the + apps were synced to my iPhone automatic and not by my choice.

Anyone else have this happen?

You can uncheck them in the App tab of iTunes if you don't want to sync them.

It seems Apple assumed you would want your purchased apps sync'd by default.

Each time you download a new app, it will automatically sync to your device(s) next time you plug it/them in. You can simply uncheck the box in the App list in the device's iTunes screen to remove it.

Ya it's just a little strange to me that it's syncing apps I downloaded from my iPad onto my iPhone. I understand they are universal but didn't expect them to be synced to my iPhone. Not a big deal I just unchecked em, just a little weird.

What would be cool is if app data was synced across devices for universal apps. Like say I play a game on my iPhone and later pick up where I left off on my iPad. Would be a sweet MobileMe feature.

Very excited to see what gets announced in a few hours for 4.0!
