Are the PCIe Lanes in Intel iMacs Bifurcated?

Hello are Intel iMac's PCIe lanes bifurcated? Or each SSD slot can only support one SSD or can it support a SATA splitter and support two SATA SSD with no problems? How about for the NVME slots for Macs (not just iMacs) that support NVME SSDs (using an adapter to make it work with PC NVME M.2 SSDs)?

I don't think any Mac supports bifurcation. No Mac has a BIOS with a bifurcation option that you can select. If you want to connect multiple PCIe devices to a single slot, then you need a PCIe switch.

I've never head of a SATA splitter working with a Mac's built-in SATA connectors.

It's a Late 2015 5k iMac. It's not bifurcated (which would be unfortunate)?
