I thought I read something not too long ago about Apple signing iOS 6 for older devices again. Is that not a thing anymore?
Edit: Here's a video from May explaining the process.

Yes, it happened, but then it stopped. However, it wasn't as simple as it should have been because I failed to complete the downgrade when I tried on my iPad 2. I didn't care that much though since I gave it away.I thought I read something not too long ago about Apple signing iOS 6 for older devices again. Is that not a thing anymore?

Nooo! Are you ever tempted to pop your SIM into a 4S and go back to a simpler time?
You can’t roll back.Mine is on iOS 9.3.1 I want to roll back to iOS 6.1.3 . Is it possible.?
yupIirc, this used to be possible pre-iOS 5 with older iTunes as long as you save a copy of the signature using umbrella or rain or something to that effect.
This one's never been an issue for me. I only check my phone when I actually need it for something. I even have all notifications disabled except for iMessage and banking stuff.Otherwise, kind of nice not always looking at the phone out of habit.
Miss those iOS 6 days.I went ahead and did this! I activated my iPhone 4S and will replace my SE2020 for at least a few days. I have already run into a couple of issues. For example, iMessage doesn't seem to work yet SMS does... also there is no functioning weather app. Even going to the gym was a hassle as I can't download the gym app (24go) as iOS6.1.3 doesn't allow for it. I had to use my iPod Touch and get the gym's WIFI working on it and then download the app. Hassle! Otherwise, kind of nice not always looking at the phone out of habit.

Ugh. We have Windows 98 computers at the office to operate old equipment. I can check all the unread email on my phone before that one finishes booting. If you want a project for the weekend, get a computer that boots natively in MS DOS and use the approach above.
Isn’t that a screenshot from macOS Big Sur? ?I went ahead and did this! I activated my iPhone 4S and will replace my SE2020 for at least a few days. I have already run into a couple of issues.
