Arrangement tab in Display won't appear in MacBook Pro OS X Yosemite

Hi

I want to connect my Acer x193w (Mac compatible) as an external monitor to my MacBook Pro OS X Yosemite. I'm using a HDMI/VGA adapter to connect them together.

The arrangement tab in the display doesn't show itself even though my wallpaper became blue. The monitor maintains itself in sleep mode.

I don't know what to do to make it work.

I've tried Holding "Option" key and clicking the Detect Display button and it won't change anything.

Any help?
