I am the author of a useful app called Artpaper—it changes wallpapers on your Mac to very gorgeous paintings from the world's best galleries and museums. It does both manually and intervally. You can control everything in a very comfortable way—from the menu bar. Currently, we have 7 packs divided by galleries which totally brings it to appr. 1000 paintings. Artpaper can also handle a few external displays.
It always has had perfect reviews on the Mac App Store and was once featured by Apple editors on the MAS.
