An offer shows in my AT&T Wireless account appears for an iPhone SE(2020) for $5/mo (0% over 30 mos) or an iPhone XS for $1 (I pay $900 now and they credit my monthly bill $30/mo over 30 mos). Which would you choose?

Pretty sure that's not how those offers work.

  1. You need to be a new customer/add a new line to an existing account.
  2. Phone has to be financed for 30 months
  3. You will get a credit bringing the monthly phone cost in line with the $1 or $5 a month offer
A brand new XS for $30 + taxes after 30 months (plus cost of phone service) is a steal.

You were right, it's a finance option where they charge $30/mo and then credit our account $29 for 30 months. I went with the XS for $1/mo. We're adding a line for our daughter, so the terms were agreeable.

Nice! That’s a great deal for the device.
