Any fans of the VCS?

I will say that as a kid, I had an original Atari 2600, and spent countless hours on that console. I've purchased those Atari joystick with the games built in over the course of time. I am somewhat tempted by this, though the price does seem a bit high to be playing 8 bit games, but its the nostalgia of it, I suppose.

This doesn't seem any different than the NES/SNES Classic rehashes. Both of those were mini-replicas of the original hardware running emulators (likely on Linux).

I have a SNES Classic or whatever they call the throwback replica. It's fun even though i know I could run everything in an emulator on a cheap PC or even a Raspberry Pi.

Buy it if you are nostalgic for the hardware form factor. Otherwise just run some emulator on whatever hardware you already have. You're a PC guy, you have plenty of gear for this.
