How are macpro 7.1 users dealing with audio-in...?
I am just looking at future options, it looks like even the 7.1mp has no audio-in, is this correct.

My 5.1 has audio-in/out, optical-in/out.

I have an analogue turntable for recording vinyl through a mixer (pre-amp) to audio-in currently.

It's not that simple on a mac.
I doubt it would recognise a creative card, plus I wouldn't use one.
I have never HAD to add a sound card to a Mac.

I did a bit of research, and found a few usb interfaces which should work.
It's just annoying Apple removing useful interfaces.

Any input for non-professionals can be achieved by USB peripherals. Otherwise, it's a PCIe card option.
