Hi, i'm French & i'm all new on the forum.

I got a Mac Pro with 2 SATA hard drives which does cracking's noise.
I know there is a way to active the AAM (automatic acoustic managment) to reduce this noise.

I test to boot my mac pro with a bootable cdrom of the Hitachi Feature Tools software, but the keyboard isn't recognized by the DOS software.

Someone can help me ? or know an other way to set the AAM on my hard drives ?

Wow, I thought you were nuts until I googled it. I didn't even know that existed. My only thought is, do you have a friend that has another USB keyboard like a Microsoft one? That would probably solve your problem. Just borrow his/hers to setup the AAM and then your set. If not and its that important to you just go and buy a cheap USB keyboard.
