Automatic login doesn't work when starting up (when Macbook has was turned off the night before using the automatic, timed, shutdown)

For years I have used the automatic login (> Users & Groups) to bypass the password screen without issue.

Recently, I've started to use the scheduled shut down (> Energy saver > schedule) each night.

When I startup the next morning, the MacBook is now asking for the login password every time, which is a bit annoying. My username is still shown in > Users & Groups automatic login.

Does anyone have an idea if there's a way to remedy this?

I checked the security settings panel, the first tab to: autologin
in system preferences.

since the macbook air mojave cant turn on
i schedule that every morning to wake up and is shut down now
so i cant take photos to help you.

hopefully someone else can provide help

Thanks for the tip! I do see a sleep/screensaver password option ticked for 8 hours in "security settings." I don't think I've ever had to enter a pass as I've not left it asleep for so long. As I only recently started using automatic shutdown, that could make sense why I've not taken much notice before. I'll turn that off and see what happens.

this is what my Mojave setting are:
today we had to move our clocks, so I think that feature did to work this morning.
we Mojavians need to stick together!

Automatic scheduled shutdown last night.... and no login/password screen on startup this morning!
