Back up APFS drive to external hdd?

My internal storage is flash. I use super duper to clone the internal to an external hdd... will this still be possible after the internal drive is converted to apfs?

I don't see support listed for APFS volumes, yet.

Carbon Copy Cloner is. It comes with a 30 day trial. You could use that to backup the APFS drive, until SD had support.

According to CCC, you can backup an APFS Boot Drive to a HFS Target Disk and still boot to 10.13.

Carbon Copy Cloner has an entire section dedicated to dealing with APFS. Both SD and Bombich are doing a great job handling this transition.
