I just picked up a used PC Ryzen 2200G with 4 4tb red drives. My plan is to use this as a backup to my mini server. I am thinking of going with Rockstar or Open media vault. The system only has 8 GB of ram so I think Truenas w/ZFS is not going to work. I'm looking for input as to which OS would be good. I would also like the disk to be independent of each other, So in case of a total hardware failure I can pop the drives out and read them in almost any Linux OS. Any thought on which OS to use.
