Time Machine and CCC are used interchangeably as protective measure against possible failures in backup plan. Time Machine uses own USB external drive yet CCC its own. Now before upgrading Mac to newer os major version these disks need to make free from backup data in order Mac can use their full storage capacity as soon as os upgrade completed.
How to collect these two backups to one further yet single external disk (archive of backups disk)?

Second dimension of backup redundancy is used in backup plan: data is backed up additionally to 2 sparse bundles on SMB share (respectively by TM and CCC). Actually these should be collected to same destination as the two mentioned previously. This might be different story, please ignore this question when providing your proposals to this thread.
