I switched yesterday from an iPhone X to an iPhone Xs. I had read about the complaints, but figured it wouldn't negatively impact me since I was coming from an Intel iPhone X. I went from rarely having dropped calls and normally great Internet speeds to having had a few dropped calls already and have had my phone go down to EDGE a couple of times. I'm using the same Apple Leather case on it as before.

Hopefully Apple will address this or I may have to go back to the X. This really shouldn't be an issue on $1000+ phone.

Based on the FCC reports, the antenna gain on the XS and Max are objectively worse than iPhone X. It's unlikely to be something that can be fixed through software.
