Sorry I know y’all hate these posts. I got my 13 pro max about 6 weeks ago. Came with 104% battery health and it just went down to 99% after 26 cycles. Is this normal behavior? My other phones have always stayed at 100 for many months. I want this phone to last me at least 2-3 more years. I’m not sure if I need to be concerned about this. Thank you.

Unfortunately Apple won't consider it an issue unless it goes below 80% within the warranty period. You're also past the 14 day return window so although it's not ideal battery capacity for a 6 week old phone, you'll have to live with it.

I really think those numbers aren’t as accurate as everyone thinks they are. If Apple were smart, they would’ve just gave it a green or red status. People see the battery go down to 99% and think oh no my phone is breaking!

My last iPhone stayed at 100% till the week I traded it in a year later and then it went down to 99%. You don’t really think it was at 100 % or higher for a whole year especially when I didn’t do anything special with charging other than maybe not leave it on the dashboard of my car. Just use your phone and enjoy it. You’re taking 1% off of your life by stressing about it. If you’re planning to keep the phone past three years, then the $99 for a new battery installation shouldn’t be too painful on the budget. I know they went up from $69 which kind of bums me out.

I honestly would not worry about it until it actually goes below 80% battery health. If that happens before your 1 year warranty is up, then apple will replace it for free. I had a 12 pro max that took a dive to 89% after 1 year. I gave it to my wife and she has been using it when I got the 13 pro max. It actually went back up 100% December and stayed there for a while. right now it's back down to 95% and been sitting at 95% for good 3 months +.

Thank you. That’s what im trying to do is not worry about it and use the phone. Where it went from 104 to 99 so fast does worry me though. I’m out of my return period but have apple care so I will see how it plays out.

I’ve been so used to my last 2 iPhones staying at 100 for well over 6 months. I’m not a heavy user so it was a really big surprise to see.

I downloaded imazing and it says 100% excellent health. But I would think apples own reading would be more accurate?

I don't find apple's own reading to be that accurate. Like my post above. 12 pro max I had when I owned it was 100% for 12 month. I handed that down to my wife and then it went down to 89% (both Coconut battery and ios system). However, coconut battery eventually read the 12 pm as 100% (while the iOS read 89%). Currently coconut is reading the 12 pro max around 94-95% while ios still reads 89%. Personally I find the coconut battery app to be more accurate then the ios.
