10% battery use in one hour = 10 hours total. And yes it really does deplete so linearly, it isn't like my car's fuel gauge where I get 150 miles from the first half of the tank and only 75 miles for the second half.
Trust me, you will definitely be getting 10 hours or more from your iPad. It really is steller battery life.
