So I’m only getting a day out of my 2022 IPP 12.9. Now it could be I’m using it more but it does seem to be running out of juice quicker. Safari seems to be the main culprit at over 50%. Is Safari particularly heavy on the battery compared to other browsers? I have about 4 tabs usually with forum type stuff (not video).

I’m also considering a full wipe in case that helps

You don’t mention important settings like brightness, and important numbers like actual screen-on time, but beta software is the worst for battery life. Try reverting to a stable version.

6 hr 16 screen time has used 51% of my battery. Is this good/bad/normal?

that means you'll get 12h 30 m battery life on a full charge. the iPad is rated for 10h. so you are surpassing the suggested battery life
Ok I’ll stop worrying about it then. Thanks

if you want to improve battery life even more consider brightness below 50% & low power mode
Brightness is quite low. Don’t really want to hit low power mode

My iPad Pro 12.9 is reaching the point where I notice it just doesn't last as long as it used to. The battery is down to 88% health according to Coconut Battery. I've had it for a year and 8 months. I'm torn between running the heck out of it, so it dips below 80% before the two-year mark or nursing it gently to save as much capacity as possible. 🤷‍♂️

Safari-heavy use on an original version of iOS with 6h on 50% which translates to about 11.5 hours of screen-on time with fairly low brightness definitely isn’t bad.

The larger 12.9-inch screen may be a little more draining than the 11 or 9.7-inch screens that I’ve used. My 9.7-inch iPad Pro before it was forced out of iOS 9 gave me about 13-14 hours of Safari-centric use, and my iPad Air 5 seems to be at like 11-12 hours with 50% remaining, which is absurdly high, but with extremely light settings. The larger screen and non-perfect settings make a 12-hour screen-on time quite decent.

My 9.7-inch iPad Pro saw a decrease to about 10-11 hours with heavily optimised settings and light usage after being forced into iOS 12. I’m only guessing, but it might get about 8 hours with less optimised settings and higher brightness, so your 12 hours seem good.
