I know a lot of people hate the ultra questions in regards to battery but I was wondering if this is normal. My watch has been unplugged for 12 hours and went down 25%. Is this normal?

My watch has been off the charger for exactly 12 hours too, and I’m at 76%. So, normal.

Sounds about right - most of the reviews on YouTube etc say you can get around 2 days and 2 nights out of it with ‘normal use,’ whatever that is.

Without any top-up charging (e.g. when I'm in the shower), my ultra will typically last me a full day and night (including 2 lots of 1 hour exercise with GPS and Audible) and up to about 8:00pm the following night so 25% in 12 hours sounds pretty much what I'd expect

I remember my AW4 on launch week in 2018 only went down 20% after 12 hours off the charger...

How can the Ultra have such low battery performance? It surely should be better.

AWU here:

Last Charged to 90% - Thursday 6:26PM.
It is currently 8:05am on Friday and I'm at 80%. (~14 hours later?).

Granted I'm a light user and the above was overnight. No AOD and most notifications turned off. I can get 72 hours pretty easily (without trying and doing 30 mins of exercise every day/other day).

With AOD on and all notifications on, I'd say that's bout normal.

Here is mine:

100% 8:02am Thursday
35% 5:32pm Friday

65% loss in 31 ½ hours.

Yesterday that was 2 outdoor walks of 40 mins (I had my phone with me so GPS only) with AirPods listening to music, 30 mins of Apple Fitness +

Today 1 outdoor walk of 40 mins (I had my phone with me so GPS only) with AirPods listening to music, 45 mins of Apple Fitness +

About to go on second dog walk of the day, then I will charge it.

2.06 %/ hour. Nothing wrong with 25% in 12 hours.

Your AW4 lasted for more than 2 days between charges?

I remember that for the first 9 months or so my S4 didn't require daily charging, but that was in the dark days (literally with no AOD ;))
Yes I could go through 2 days and 2 nights, on the tabletop not worn while sleeping (it didn't have sleep tracking back then), and still come out with a few % battery life left on it.

Took mine off charge at 100% yesterday morning (Saturday) at 03:16am, it’s now 17:16 on Sunday so 38 hours exactly and I’m at 54%, no AOD and Siri off.

if you’ve just done an update then that can increase the battery usage for a day or 2, failing that I’d try a soft reset and go from there. I’ve never had AOD switched on though so if you do then it might be normal battery usage.
