Hi

I would just like to draw to your attention a situation regarding UK users whom have pre-ordered a copy of Mac OS X 10.3 "Panther" as advertised at the UK Apple Online store (http://www.apple.com/uk/thestore) for "delivery on the evening of October 24th (the worldwide launch date of the software).

I along with a number of internet forum users have pre-ordered this software well in advance, only to have not received the software from Apple as advertised. The only contact we have received from Apple re this is a shipping notice dated 22nd October informing us to expect delivery within "10 business days"

Comments and updates on the situation can be seen at the following web address:

We as UK users of Apple products are at the end of our tether at being treated as second class citizens by Apple compared to our US counterparts (whom have had their deliveries in time, some even earlier than advertised) and will be contacting Apple UK in due course. We have also organised an online petition to bring to the attention of the Apple CEO, Steve Jobbs. This can be viewed at the following web address:
http://www.petitiononline.com/Appleuk/petition.html

Maybe your newsdesk would like to run a follow-up article with the problems encountered?
