I just purchased a 2g touch. Would this app be useful if only over wifi or is it more for a data plan app? Sorry new to these apps, thanks

It's alright over WiFi (not worth 16 bucks). I think it's much, much better over EDGE/3G (definitely worth 16 bucks). It's best and most reliable, for me at least, for IMing on the go. I don't think I'd buy it if I could only use it near WiFi. I usually already have a computer for that which is still much faster and much more efficient. But you can't beat it if you're on the go and want to keep up with IMs.

Data is fine. No lag - I was surprises as I was on Edge accidently at first. Now I don't even ponder my connection when I want to use the app.

More and more I wish I had edge service. Initially thought wifi would suffice. When it was a casual use I thought wifi was everywhere, now when I want/need it, I notice how sparse it really is..
