After buying an iPod Touch, I decided to buy a charger and found this Belkin one in a Portuguese online store. Comes with an iPod sync cable and a mini-USB cable. Has two USB ports and outputs 1000 mA on each one, so you can charge two devices at once at fast speeds. Haven't had a problem ever since, and I find it faster than connecting the iPod to my computer or than connecting my phone to my computer.

That's because the USB spec that most computer adhere to is 500mA, 0.5A per port or hub.

Some do go above and beyond that though.

Griffin dual 1A each USB port AC adapter is a good one also. Charges both iPhone and iPad simultaneously.
