Best (3G) dock sans speakers?

I'm looking for a simple dock to put my iPhone in, since having it lie around doesn't look so swanky.

What docks do you recommend? Nothing fancy, what with flash card sockets and all - just something that looks great.

Forking over the money Apple demands for a regular dock seems insane, price vs. product considered.

$30 for the Apple iPhone 3G dock isn't all that insane, if you ask me.

I'm not too fond of the front and ports missing. The Universal Dock is nice, but it's priced at nearly $50, which creates an incentive to seek out other options.

What ports?

Display output. It's my understanding that it's not available for the regular dock.
