best speakers for around $125

hey all,

so i recently purchased a new macbook pro and wanted to buy some speakers for it. what would you recommend for around $125 or so and where is the best place to purchase? any coupons?

I've got these plugged into my Macbook as I'm typing this... And they sound phenomenal (especially while playing the new Dashboard Confessional album)! Great sound, the sub is deep and full, and the clear speakers make it that much cooler. $128 shipped.

Get the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1. THX certified, 200 watts rms, and great reviews everywhere.

I second the Klipsch 2.1. I've got a 600 dollar stereo and my 4.1 (Same exact speakers) still sounds better.

The suggested speakers will undoubtedly sound much better than what I am going to suggest, but I am very happy with my Lacie Firewire speakers. They are small, and require no power source or subwoofer, big plusses to me. Also, they are cheaper.

Of course, I play my music on my stereo via AppleTV, so your needs may vary.

Klipsch are great. I have the 4.1 and they are the ****. Best money I have spent.
