I have a 2018 mini and I've just acquired a 2014.
What's the best way to connect both of them to one monitor, but be able to switch from one to the other? I can connect one via HDMI and the other via DisplayPort. I've never done this before and don't know how easy/hard it is. I'd like to avoid having to turn one off to make the change.
I'm thinking of using an iPad as the display for one of the minis, but that's a different avenue.
For anyone interested, more details here on what I'm trying to do: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/have-a-2018-mini-what-to-do-with-a-new-2014.2171149/
