Like many of you, I was extremely excited about the release of Big Sur. And like all of you, I didn’t manage to get it installed till many hours after release.

Here’s what got me worried though. After upgrading, I wanted to try out the auto-switching of AirPods feature.

Didn’t work.

Then I tried to pair them manually, and after a few tries I finally got them working, though with some issues.

The noise cancelling is dead. There’s almost no difference between it being on and off, it just muffled the sound in a weird way but I could hear everything in the background.

I disconnected the headphones from my MacBook and connected them to my iPhone (latest iOS). Same issue. Tried re-pairing them - same issue.

I texted my friend from another country, and he’s experiencing the exact same thing - and it too started after trying to pair AirPods with a mac with Bug Sur installed, so there has to be something wrong.

Did any of you experience something similar? What else can I do to try to get my AirPods Pro to start working properly again?
