Black/gray dot On lower right hand side

A black/gray dot appeared in the lower right hand side of my iPhone X today. It’s blocking me, it’s annoying and it wasn’t there before. How do I get rid of it. It’s apparently A link to a notification Center and other things which I could give a damn about
