iPhone Black preview screen in camera app

Anyone else getting a black preview screen when they open the camera app? Like the app will open and I’ll see all the edit controls but the preview window is black (as if my camera is covered-which it’s not). For me, it’s an intermittent problem. Shutting down the app and restarting fixes the issue but it’s happened now many times.

is this an iOS 13 issue you think? or a new phone issue (iPhone 11 pro Max)

Happened to me once so far, also on Pro Max.
There are some Post on reddit and the apple support community page with this Problem. Manly iPhone X, camera stopped working completely with black screen but worked again after a downgrade to 12.4.1

Happened to me too a few times , even when I tried to pair my Apple Watch the pairing screen was black, hopefully it’s just a software issue.
