Blooming on MBP 2021 (with pics)

I changed the iso and made sure the picture corresponded to what my eyes were seeing .there is no exaggeration in these pics.in fact irl it even looks worse imo

I must point out that this was the screen at the beginning of the apple tv+ series "SEE" (how ironic) ,so it's probably triggering max DV brightness @1600nits

Do you guys also get such blooming ?
Wondering if the iPad pro is worse

To be totally honest I'm fine with it as during the movie itself it's not that bad,and I'm not stupid Enough to use full brightness when working in the dark(for pics editing you usually lock the brightness @120-150nits anyway )

Ya I notice it on my 14". Was worse on my iPad Pro 12.9. Doesn't bother me at all.

IMHO it's better having some blooming on some scenes than watching using a normal screen which blacks are all bluish like the bloom's color. It takes a getting used to. But the overall improvements in terms of contrast is so much better than using a normal screen.

Also yeah considering it's doing HDR yeah it makes sense the blooming is more noticable.

In my real world usage. With 8 clicks of brightness from lowest. I can't tell the blooming. 99% of the time. You can only tell if you're on a black background and you're really looking for it. And if you look at it from an angle where it's not that direct.

8 clicks from lowest I can see it tbh,but it's not annoying at all for me at least

Yeah it is noticable. But yeh on 8 clicks it's really not noticable imo unless you're looking for it or you're on a total black background then yeh it's noticable of course.

K so it's definitely not a problem with my unit lol.i figured that but wanted to be sure .
