Looks like the Bonjour chat option is no longer available in Messages.app with High Sierra. I used it quite a lot, although it had quite a few bugs - it seemed like development had seized years ago. Messages exchanged via Bonjour Chat are there still, but users appear offline. Also CMD+1, which showed the user list, does not work at all anymore.
Was anyone else using this feature? Is there some way to get around it?
