Books (or websites) for learning Photoshop and Illustrator?

I need to teach myself how to use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, but I know nothing about design. I'm a web developer, but I want to be able to create my own graphics if required.

If anyone had any suggestions, I would appreciate it.

Adobe have a book series titled "Classroom In A Book". They've been making them for years and they are a great introduction for new users, as well as nice refreshers for regular users.

On top of teacher influence, they were used in my class in College and my classmates loved them.
