So I am thinking about a plan B if (or when) my current boot volume bites the dust. Yes I would most likely go with a 1T blade MVMe to replace my current setup (see sig). Yes, I DO know that to be ABLE to do that, my boot rom needs updating. I THOUGHT that I go straight to the latest Mojave installer, run the firmware update before actually installing it, then boom I'd have 144.0.0.0 then back out and not really install the OS. Yes my GTX980 IS Metal capable, BUT would the firmware updater know that? Yes, I still have the original GPU that came with my cMP, a Radeon 5870. CAN I get to 144.0.0.0 and what steps do I need to do that?
