hi all,

Hoping you can help me.
I have a 2019 15" Macbook Pro with OSX Mojave provided to me by Work.

I'm having some issues i was hoping you could help me with.

1. Now i run always docked (lid shut mode) with
  • 2 Monitors connected via USB-C to Displayport cables by Startech
  • The Issue: is login screen never appears on the external monitors, at first boot. it will on reboots but never on first bootup
2. my Bluetooth keyboard (Logitech Craft) but does not work on login screen. works after after boot.

My resolution is only to use the laptop keyboard and screen to login & shut the lid once logged in.
is their a better solution?

for 1. i thought apple might be doing somthing sneeky with their usb-c cables?

Sounds like you have a solution ... log in with laptop. Why is Apple doing something sneaky with usb-c cables when you say you are using Startech cables?

Login with laptop is a workaround not a solution.

You should be able to login using external monitors like every other os.

Apple are known for locking stuff down to their version. So wondered if apple did something similarto USB c cables.
