British Gas have just announced that the Hive smart heating & Hot Water Control system is now an official partner on IFTTT https://ifttt.com/hive_active_heating.

Hive does not have a HomeKit chip and currently does not natively work with Siri etc. However now that there is IFTTT functionality is there a way of making it work in iOS10 with the Home app?

Some third parties have managed a work around here but this app is more than £10!

I wasn't able to get an answer from Hive about this but I did speak to someone who said they were also investigating making hive a Trigger as well as an Action within IFTTT which is interesting as it opens up possibilities to link stuff together. For example if the temperature in the house gets too hot it could turn on an A/C unit or just close the motorised blinds to stop the sun beaming into the windows.
