I'm a PC user, I don't know anything about Mac. My question is my friend has me to download a program for him which is in dmg format. If I burn that dmg to a CD. Is that going to be readable for his ibook? Thank you very much. If no, how about if I transfer it to his ipod or setup an ftp and has him to download from my computer. Which way is easier and more convienience? Thanks again.

Yup it'll be fine, a DMG is a disk image file. As long as the file you have isn't corrupt in some way (shouldn't be) your friend will be able to mount it.
