I have my default alert set for 1 day before the event, yet when I go to create a new event, the default alert that is set is "at time of the event." What gives? macOS 13.4.1. Calendar version 13.0.

Where the Alert Setting says account: On My Mac, can you change that (via the dropdown) to iCloud?

🤦🏼‍♂️ Yes, that fixed it. I just never dreamed there would be any use for that level of distinction, so wasn't even looking for such an option. I mean, why would I want iCloud calendar events to have different alert times than the ones that are local to my Mac only? Very odd design, imo.

Thanks!

Well, now I discovered that even after changing the default alert options, when I create an event through the Create Quick Event button (the plus sign near the top of the app), the default alerts are not applied to that event (they have no alerts). It only works when you click on the actual calendar date to create an event.

So, now what am I missing?
