Since a couple of weeks my calendar will not open. The icon jumps for a while, but the calendar doesn't open. After that I force a stop. Its strange: clicking the menu at the right top show my appointments, the new ones too.

Is there anyone who can help me, please?
I'v a macbook pro, 2,3 GHz Intel Core i5, OS X 10.8.3

Open the Console app in the Utilities folder and see if any relevant messages are left when you try to launch the app.
Failing that, you might try restoring the contents of <user>/Library/Calendar to a time when it worked, from your Time Machine backup.

Note that the user Library is normally hidden. There are many webpages devoted to how to show it.

Thank you very much, but I don't have a working Calendar to restore.
Is there a way to remove the calendar complete and then reinstall it?
