Yes. The newer iPhones will have more bands. If you go for the Pro series you'll also get 4x4 MIMO. So the device will have more antennas to pick up the signal as well.

Went from same 6S plus to X to 11 but nothing can help our weak AT&T signal. I use WiFi calling when possible.

On AT&T since 5S. Every year with latest phone data speeds seen faster. Currently on pro Max.
