If I install HomeKit devices like cameras, lights and door locks, Im sure initial setup has to be with wifi, but afterwards can they be controlled via cellular when using an AppleTV as the homehub? Basicly can I open a door or turn off a light while Im in a different city or country, via cell networks? The reason I ask is that from reading online it seems that the homehub has to be on for all this to work, but of course an AppleTV would autoshutoff after some time

tvs don’t turn off. They just go to sleep they are always on. So that means as long as you have electricity and a working network connection you can access your home from anywhere.
