Resolved Can I Connect a Cinema Display 24" via mini display port to Mac Pro 2013?

Hi there,
Just pondering this question as there seems to be so much confusion.
Can anyone tell me whether the Apple Cinema Display LED (24-Inch) Specs
Identifiers: LED Cinema Display - MB382LL/A - A1267 can be used by directly plugging the mini display cable into a thunderbolt port on the 2013 6,1 Mac Pro?

Ahhh awesome! Thanks saulinpa ... I just contacted Apple support and they told me it was impossible!
I figured in theory if the nMP accepts a mini display 3rd party then why would it not an Apple product...

The Apple support staffs often don't know what they are saying. Most likely they were confused that you can't use a Thunderbolt monitor on a mini display port output.
