I was able to see and play with an iPad Pro today at my local store......it's GORGEOUS! Couldn't buy one this afternoon since the store was out of inventory. However, I don't like the keyboard Apple is pushing with it. I much prefer using a separate BT keyboard, which is what I do with my iPad Air 2 some of the time -- the device is on a stand on a table in front of me and I have the BT keyboard paired with it and use it just as I would if I were typing on a desktop or a notebook machine.
On the way home from the store the question belatedly occurred to me, something I could have and should have, asked at the store: Can one use the new BT "Magic Keyboard" with the iPad Pro? I'm asking since I just bought said new keyboard for use at home with either my iMac or my MBP. I notice in the booklet that comes with the device that it specifically mentions working with El Capitan as opposed to earlier Mac OS. Not a problem as far as that goes, all my Macs are on El Capitan. However.....this made me wonder again whether or not the new keyboard would work with the iPad Pro or or if I'd have to revert back to the older BT keyboard.
If the new "Magic Keyboard" doesn't work with the iPad Pro (or possibly any other iPad), what about the "older" BT keyboard, the one that I've been successfully using with my iPad Air 2 and at times even the iPad Mini....? Will the older one still continue to pair up as a BT device with the new iPad Pro? I know it works just fine with my iPad Air 2, and would hate to lose the flexibility in positioning, etc., that can be had with a keyboard that does not attach directly to the iPad.
