So I have just got my new Apple Watch, and obviously very excited, I've been exploring.

For the first hour or so, when my phone was locked, notifications would only buzz on my watch - Ideal!

Now though they seem to buzz on my phone and then 10 seconds later come to my watch.

How should it be, and how do I make it go back to how I had it in the first hour?

Thanks for any help in advance.

There is no setting for what you are describing. It is supposed to work like this by design:

- Phone locked, Watch on wrist = notification goes to watch
- Phone locked, watch not on wrist = notification goes to phone.

Right.
And Phone unlocked, watch on wrist = notification goes to phone

Right.

exactly. There is 1 little gotcha though. When you turn the screen off on the iphone it doesn't automatically report itself as locked right away. If you get a notification in that short time frame the phone won't light up and neither will the watch. vary rare but I've seen it happen on mine.
