The title tells it all. Possibly a silly question, but after a quick search of the site, I didn't find an answer, so I'm asking. Can you have more than four apps on the iPad dock? if so, what's the limit?

I consider myself a total geek (and have the pro quals & exp to back it up) but still ask what seems like newbie questions from time to time - after all thats what the forum is for: Helping each other out!

(and I am glad someone answered this as I was wondering too before I get my iPad).

So thank you to the helpful posters - keep it up.

Can't you jailbreak and get more than the Apple imposed limit of 6?

Yes. I'm using Infinidock on my JB iPad, and currently I have 9 on the dock, and I could have more.
