Can you still have a bookmarks bar on Safari?

I hope that you can revert back to having a bookmarks bar underneath the website address section. I don't understand how it is an improvement to not have instant access to your favorite sites.

I've just turned my favourites bar on in Safari, as my bookmarks weren't showing up under the address bar as I typed, as they are supposed to. A bug, clearly.
