Starting with the Canadian thread for the year 2021 as the iPhone launch is just less than a week away.

Looking forward to buying a 256GB Pro Max.

I am inclined towards the new 0% interest PayBright Payments spread over two years instead of paying outright.

Anyone else wants to try that out?

Yeah for $30 saved on an iphone it for sure is cheaper to do a trip

lol fair enough but I'll be travelling to the US soon anyway. You're right it's not a huge difference, just looking to save a few bucks.... wish us Canadians got the same financial perks as Americans have.

Not to mention Apple's exchange rate! Right now an iPhone 12 starts at $799 USD vs $1129 CAD. It should be $1015 CAD at today's rate.

Getting a bit tired of my Pixel 5 so grabbed an iphone 12 (reg) on Bell's back to school sale where you actually get a real discount on the phone, something like $350 off as they try to clear out old stock before the 13 arrives. 128gb costs me $22/mo for 24 mos ($528) then I give it back or buy it out for $420. IP13 not compelling enough to pay the extra cash, plus dumping Fido for Bell (again!) gets me 20gb of 5g for $55/mo which is not bad. 12 Mini is an even better deal @ about $500+ discount but I've had a bunch of those, now back to 6".

I wasn’t going to since I have a 12 PM but my wife wants to move up from her Xs Max and doesn’t care to have the newest and top of the line tech. She loves the night mode shots I get with mine so she just wants to take over mine.

Ouch..... It's better than before, but Canadians are still getting screwed by Apple's exchange rate!

Cheapest iPhone 13 Mini is $699 USD, at today's rate that should be $885 CAD.... instead Apple's price is $949. You're wasting $64 CAD if you buy it in Canada instead of buying in the US!

At the other end, the 1TB iPhone 13 Max is $1499 $1599 USD, which should be $1900 $2025 CAD, but Apple's price is $2079 $2229. Waste of $179 $204 CAD!!

Anyone have an explanation for why Apple is ripping off Canadians? Is it always unfavourable north of the border?

Canada got robbed on currency conversion this go around. WOW.

13 Pro Max 128GB is $1099 USD = $1393 CDN but it's still $1549.

I'll stick with my 12PM for another year.

The Canadian dollar conversion has been out of whack for a few years now. It is what it is at this stage of the game. No point if wasting energy worrying about it. Last year and the 2 years prior to that were as well. Apple are a greedy company. They always have been.

I actually think the dollar has recovered a bit since the 12 release. Really surprised they didn't adjust it.

The new Mini pricing seems much more inline. 499 -->649
