FAQs and Helpful Information for Canadian orders

When and where do pre-orders start?

Friday, September 15th, 2023
5:00am PT
6:00am MT
7:00am CT
8:00am ET
9:00am AT
9:30am NT

Apple.ca or on the Apple Store app on your iOS device.

In-store Reserve and Pickup Link:
**Currently Unavailable**
It appears Apple is not offering the In-Store Reservation option this year. The only option is to purchase online for delivery or in-store pickup.

Affirm Financing FAQs - Apple
General Info Link:
https://www.apple.com/ca/shop/browse/financing
  • Affirm lets you finance your iPhone through Apple.ca or in-store over 24 months. Unfortunately, no more 0% financing is available.
  • Any trade-in value is applied as instant credit.
  • There is no hard credit check. A soft credit check is required for identity verification only.
  • There are no trade lines opened on your credit bureau for Affirm plans.
  • Payments can be made using pre-authorized debit or credit, and begin Monthly starting 30 days after shipment or pick-up.
  • Loan can be paid off any time without penalty.
  • Not available on the EPP store.

Shipping & Delivery FAQs
In prior years, most iPhone orders ship via UPS directly from Apple Canada’s warehouse in Concord, ON. As such, tracking will not be available until the Thursday before launch day. This is normal. However, some shipments may still originate from China, and tracking will be provided earlier for those shipments.

In-store Pickup
You may select your local Apple store for in-store pickup during pre-order. Inventory normally sells out quickly with this option. However, last year, there was also plenty of in-store pickup stock available for all models starting roughly 30 minutes before the store opened on launch day, in case you missed your desired model on pre-order day.

I noticed Apple's website says:
"Come back later today to get ready for pre‑order on 9.15."

Screenshot 2023-09-12 at 14.35.21.png

I wonder if that means there will be a "pre" pre-order in Canada, similar to how the US has it? Will keep an eye on it...

Hello again fellow Canadian friends 🇨🇦✌️
It's that time of year!!
Which model are you ordering this year. I am going with the 15 pro max natural titanium in 256gb since they raised the price so much.

Going with 15 Pro Max 1TB. Just torn between Natural Titanium and Blue Titanium.

I think the Natural Titanium would go well with my Apple Watch Ultra, but I've always purchased blue iPhones whenever available. Apple's photos make the blue look very dull...

Personally, I won't be using PayBright this year due to last year's fiasco. Plus, there's no more 0% anyways... It's now 7.99%!! Buying outright this year.

OK then apple probably copied that 3rd line from the US site because that is super confusing.

Apple has removed that line from the Canadian tech specs page.

Yeah, but it does clearly say "nano SIM" on Canadian specs page. Also, the photos (see post #1) has a SIM tray visible.

Most likely a typo on the Canadian page.

Can we get firm confirmation on that nano sim tray? Is it standard, or do you have to request it?

Yeah. if you look at the pictures too it shows the sim card tray slot on Canadian website.

Please do update on the "pre order" ability. That would be nice since they have removed the previous "favourite" ability.

I will be going for 15 pro max - 256 gb in Natural Titanium.

It states this on Canadian site.

Dual eSIM17
Two active eSIMs or nano-SIM and eSIM, stores eight or more eSIMs

The “or” is keyword here. Maybe you can order with two active eSIMs “or” with eSIM and nano sim.

We definitely need confirmation on this.

It just means you can use two eSIMs or one SIM/one nano-SIM as current active lines.

All iPhones in Canada still have a nano SIM tray.

I'm going to trade in my current phone towards a new model. I have a gift card I want to use so I'll buy the new phone outright with both gift card and credit. Can I choose which payment method I get reimbursed to once I trade in my current phone?

Looks like Apple.ca is now updated showing: "Choose your new iPhone today, then speed through checkout on 9.15. Pre‑order starting at 5:00 a.m. PT on 9.15."

In the Apple Store app, at the bottom is an option to "Save for later". To me, it seems like all this does is allow you to pre-order quicker on 9.15 without having to go through all the selections. Just immediately check out.
