Awesome. My unit is ZA/A region, I thought it only support one nano SIM card and one eSIM. But I got error every time scanning eSIM QR code, and also there is no option for “add cellular option” in my setting. But

It turns out my unit is supporting dual nano. Thanks to the post here, I know that my back SIM tray can be used to put second SIM card. Ok, problem solved.

Happy to know you solved this stupid problem.
For me I got a replacement from Apple yesterday. First, I checked and found esim is there. Second, I too signed in with a new iCloud and everything was ok. Then I used my old iCloud account just to restore my notes, passwords and whatsapp backup. Then I checked my esim settings and everything was ok.
