iPhone Cannot delete iCloud backup

I upgraded my iPhone a couple days ago. New SIM card, same iCloud account. My iPhone backup is growing very large, much more than normal. I tried to delete it via the phone and iCloud on my Windows computer but keep getting an error that it cannot be deleted and to try again later

Any ideas on how to delete this?

Finally got it deleted. I read that it won't delete within 48 hours after a restore. Must be true as it finally deleted
